The Friendly Local Gaming Store (FLGS) is the hub of the tabletop game and hobby experience. These small businesses are responsible for bringing new gamers to the table, quite literally, and are some of the most passionate people in the industry. The FLGS is what keeps our hobby growing, making the industry viable for developers of new games, and keeping the expansion of current titles lucrative for the companies that produce them.
Brick and mortar locations, like The Battle Standard, need your support to keep the dice rolling with upward momentum. The industry, and many of the gamers that enjoy it, have grown up just like those original designers of the massive titles we now introduce to younger generations. With that, we maintain that playing in a musty, dungeon-like basement, is no longer part of the Dungeons & Dragons experience. We also believe that wobbly folding tables with plywood toppers are things of the past. Tabletop games vary and they require different amenities. Our part in this fantastic adventure is to provide that to the player. Together we move the meeple forward! That’s why we’ve entered the online market.
