The Battle Standard – Tabletop Game Shop Entertainment

Phone apps aren’t the only way to keep entertained during these uncertain times. The Battle Standard, a tabletop game shop and hobby center has been in business since 2010 and has consistently grown Connecticut’s gaming community each year since.

A tabletop game shop specializes in board games, cards & dice, or other games typically played at a table, rather than online. These games are designed to make you think critically, strategize and execute game plans that could either lead to victory or defeat in just a single move.

Since opening, the Battle Standard has moved locations a few times as we’ve grown to accommodate the gaming community. Now located in East Windsor, CT, we have enough room to not just sell these games, but to also invite you to play at our venue and expand your gaming knowledge and community.

While we are taking precautions during the pandemic, we do have a huge membership community here to help you engage and learn and feel at home as you engage with other excited gamers.

That being said, The Battle Standard has tons of upcoming events that we’d love to invite you to. Start the first day of March off right with a game day of Gaslands, a post-apocalyptic wargame where players can cause mayhem with their small fleets of armed vehicles.

Or if you prefer the classics, you might consider joining The March Living Dungeons & Dragons Campaign that runs almost every night this entire month from 6-10:30 pm where we explore vast lands in a seamless environment that allows players with tight schedules to enjoy a full campaign in one evening. Because this runs so frequently, you’re free to pick and choose whichever adventure your heart desires. Be sure to check out our calendar to see which night works for you.

As our campaigns run, we also have other options for new gamers inquisitive of our tabletop game shop. Our Sundays are reserved all day for mainstream and hobby games of all genres. So bring some of your favorite games to share with new friends and teach us a thing or two as we promise to get you hooked on Warhammer or Star Wars Armada.

And for our more seasoned players, Fridays this month from 7-11 pm is the Central Connecticut Go Club Meet & Game Day. Go is an ancient strategy game that takes a lifetime to truly master. But we believe there’s no time like the present to start learning!

Meanwhile, every Tuesday this month is reserved for Hobby Night running from 5-11 pm, where you can build, paint, learn more about our tabletop game shop and the variety of games we have and bring your experiences to share with others as we continue to grow our community with our emphasis on having fun.
