A tabletop game store is many things. A gathering place. A knowledge base. And a community. It is also, of course, a store that sells games.

A tabletop game is an encompassing term that applies to games that are played on a table. This could be trading card games, board games, role-playing games, miniature games, and any other game you don’t play on a screen. Although you can play tabletops virtually with your friends.  

At The Battle Standard, you’ll find everything you need to build decks, armies, and castles. We are not just a retail establishment, although our selection of games and hobby supplies is unmatched.

Tabletop game stores are often referred to by the acronyms LGS and FLGS; meaning local game store and friendly local game store, respectively. We are the friendly kind; it takes new members as well as old to keep the friendly fires burning. 

The emphasis on community is what sets our store apart. We don’t claim the sole title of the friendly game store, but we do not carry this mantle lightly. We are stewards of our realm with the purpose of proliferating play.  

Gaming communities and the world of dungeons, dragons, and roleplaying games can appear cloaked in mystery, and sometimes foreboding. No adventure worth taking is without its mysteries, but it helps to have trusted companions along the way. 

Our store is not a fortress in which we protect our knowledge from the world, rather it is an open archive of wisdom and learning. 

We love playing in months-long campaigns with our posse; plotting, planning, and polishing skills. It is also equally important to appreciate the unpredictability of new decks and strategies that beginners bring to the table. 

We are serious about gaming. Not too serious, of course. From our walls to our tables, and even our chairs, everything in our store is curated to provide an experience that ferries you beyond that rickety old card table. We even custom-build some of our tables and cabinets to create this unparalleled atmosphere. 

With the breadth of games available, it can be a herculean task to know which path to follow. Let us be your guides! With lantern aglow we will blaze new paths together through foggy forests and over mighty mountains. Cast spells, broker deals, or slay dragons, the choice is yours.
